JOB DESCRIPTION:
​Fullmer Cattle is in search of a Transportation Specialist for their calf raising operation in Syracuse KS.  Candidate will work closely with Department Managers to safely dispatch drivers and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. With a clear understanding of the operational needs of a private  “not for hire” agriculture business, the Transportation Specialist has oversight of the commercial vehicles used to transport livestock and agriculture commodities and machinery. An extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, IFTA is required.
You will be coordinating the safe transportation of our goods, dispatching drivers, collaborating with other managers, and preparing and maintaining mandatory records and regulatory filings.
Transportation Specialist Responsibilities:

• Ensure that drivers are well trained, effective, efficient,  safe and compliant with DOT/FMCSA/OSHA/IFTA requirements. 
• Dispatch CDL transportation services
• Oversee safety and regulatory requirements with the non-cdl Route Manager.
• Process transportation documentation and monitor driver logbooks, fuel use
• Recruit, and train new drivers for DOT compliance of new ELDT requirement.
• Collaborate with internal departments to optimize transportation services.
• Prompt filing of reports and ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance to transportation regulations and company policies.

Transportation Specialist Requirements:

• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred 
•  Although this is not a driver position, Experienced CDL driver is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of transportation industry regulations
• Superb leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Great communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary:
DOE $70,000+

CDL DRIVERS WANTED

DRIVERS for short haul commodity- corn, hay, grain, livestock, and farm equipment.
ALSO need drivers with pick-up & trailer experience for loads over 26,000-- CDL A with restrictions is permissible.  NO hazmat requirements.  Looking to fill various positions.
Must be able to qualify in all requirements of DOT- -Drug/alcohol, health, MVR.
